Welcome to Glen Lake Worship! The word "Worship" comes from an Old English word meaning, "to ascribe worth to." It contains the idea that we worship whatever we value most highly. Although people worship many things, worship rightly belongs to God. No one and nothing else can lay claim to the position of highest value in anyone's life. In light of this, we at Glen Lake Church Worship point to the Triune God as the only One worthy of all of our worship, honor, and praise. In the songs we sing, in the prayer we offer, in the scripture we share, it all points to Him.
"Praise be to You, O Lord, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor for everything in heaven and earth is Yours. Yours, O Lord, is the Kingdom: You are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from You; You are the ruler of all things. In Your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give You thanks, and praise Your glorious Name." 1 Chronicles 29:10-13
