Steve Rusticus - Lead Pastor
Steve came to Glen Lake Church as the Lead Pastor in January of 2023. Before Glen Lake, he worked four years as the Chief Operating Officer at Gateway Mission in Holland, Michigan and prior to that he served over twenty years at VictoryPoint Church in Holland, the last seventeen as Lead Pastor. Additionally, Steve has served churches in Indiana and Michigan and was also in manufacturing management for an interior automotive supply company. He has been involved with numerous nonprofit and community organizations and boards and has been a part of the leadership team of 3DMovements, a worldwide disciple making ministry.
Steve is married to his high school sweetheart and best friend MeriBeth, who just recently retired from her career in purchasing at an interior automotive supplier in Holland. They love hiking, biking, traveling, live music, working out and almost anything that keeps them outdoors, active and adventurous. Steve and MeriBeth have two married daughters and four grandchildren with whom they are close and love to spend time together as a family.
The Rusticus’ are excited to be at Glen Lake church and continue God’s Kingdom work here. They are committed to working together to help create a culture of missional discipleship at Glen Lake Church in which ordinary people make and multiply disciples who learn to live and lead like Jesus.
Pastor Jan Price, Pastor of Adult Discipleship
Jan Price is the pastor of Adult Discipleship at Glen Lake Church. She has held that position since completing the Commissioned Pastor training through the RCA in September 2011. She currently is involved with Faithwalking, Churches Learning Change, and leads the small group ministry. She also preaches on occasion.
Jan recently retired as a charge nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Munson Medical Center, a position she has held for over 40 years. She is married to Bob and they live close to Glen Lake near the Narrows. Jan and Bob have two children, Betsy and her husband Tim who lives in Seattle, and Jeff and his wife Cristina who reside in Vermont. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, skiing and camping in the U.P. with her dogs Rudy and Bo.
Diane Stier, Director of Worship Arts
Diane joined the ministry team in October 2017 after transitioning to the Empire area in March 2017. She has served 2 churches over the past 14 years as full time Worship Leader, Frankenmuth Bible Church in Frankenmuth, MI and Journey Ministries in Davison, MI. Prior to that she served as a part time Worship Leader and volunteer in numerous worship settings including 15 years as Director of Red Letter Edition, a music and drama team comprised of high school students, a ministry of Youth for Christ.
Diane’s educational background is nursing, and she has worked in numerous settings including adult ICU, Public Health and Community Mental Health. She is currently working for the Health Department.
Diane and her husband Ron have 3 grown children, 2 amazing daughters’ in- law and 3 granddaughters. They love the outdoors and all the beauty and activities this area has to offer.

Jennifer Watkins, Director of Helplink
Jennifer Watkins is the Directory of HelpLink Leelanau, a ministry of Glen Lake Community Reformed Church. In addition to her navigator work at HelpLink, she also works full time for Meals on Wheels of NMCAA. Jennifer is passionate about helping others and being of service to the surrounding communities. Jennifer has a Bachelors in Business Administration and has working in various administrative and sales environments including 11 years in the hospital setting and 15 years in trade shows and marketing.
Jennifer moved to Michigan from the West coast in 2006 and enjoys kayaking and hiking in our beautiful state. She is also an avid scuba diver and likes to travel the world when the opportunity allows. When she is not outside enjoying the area, she can be found at home knitting or reading with her two Siamese cats – Truman and Simon.
Jennifer lives across the street from her sister and her family in Cedar. She also has family in California, Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Scotland, Germany, and Australia.
Lucina Stachnik, Custodian
Lu was raised, baptized, and married at Glen Lake Community Reformed Church. She has been serving in the custodial position for over 25 years. Lu married her high school sweetheart, Clarence (who is a dairy farmer), 27 years ago and together they have two children, Becca and Molly, and one very cherished and special grandson, Owen. She can be found spending time with her family, down on the farm or cleaning the church.
