Meet Our Ministry Team

Rev. Dan DeVries, Lead Pastor

Pastor Dan join our ministry team in November of 2015. He did his undergrad work at Hope College and his graduate work at Western Theological Seminary.  Prior to coming to Glen Lake Church, Pastor Dan worked in camp ministry for seven years (two at Camp Geneva and five with TEAMeffort Youth Missions) and interned with Community Reformed Church and LifeQuest Church both located in Zeeland Michigan during his schooling.  In the fall, you can find him coaching the middle school soccer team at Glen Lake Schools. Pastor Dan and his wife Brittany love living in the Glen Lake area and can often be seen walking their dog Cassy on nearby trails, boating on the lake, or cheering on the Lakers at sporting events.


Pastor Jan Price, Pastor of Adult Discipleship

Jan Price is the pastor of Adult Discipleship at Glen Lake Church. She has held that position since completing the Commissioned Pastor training through the RCA in September 2011. She currently is involved with Faithwalking, Churches Learning Change, and leads the small group ministry. She also preaches on occasion.


Jan recently retired as a charge nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Munson Medical Center, a position she has held for over 40 years. She is married to Bob and they live close to Glen Lake near the Narrows. Jan and Bob have two children, Betsy and her husband Tim who lives in Seattle, and Jeff and his wife Cristina who reside in Vermont. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, skiing and camping in the U.P. with her dogs Rudy and Bo. 


Abby Nowicki, Director of Student Ministries

Abby Nowicki (Deters) joined our ministry team in August 2016. She completed her undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State University. It was during her time at Grand Valley, that God had called Abby into youth ministry through an organization called Young Life. Since then, Abby has been a volunteer leader, Team leader, on Student Staff, and has served 2 summers at Young Life Castaway Club.


Abby and her husband Ronnie love leading in Youth Ministry together and being a part of what God is doing in the Glen Lake community!  These two are often found hanging out with students, running, hiking, hanging at the beach, and playing Ticket to Ride. 


Diane Stier, Director of Worship Arts

Diane joined the ministry team in October 2017 after transitioning to the Empire area in March 2017. She has served 2 churches over the past 14 years as full time Worship Leader, Frankenmuth Bible Church in Frankenmuth, MI and Journey Ministries in Davison, MI. Prior to that she served as a part time Worship Leader and volunteer in numerous worship settings including 15 years as Director of Red Letter Edition, a music and drama team comprised of high school students, a ministry of Youth for Christ.


Diane’s educational background is nursing, and she has worked in numerous settings including adult ICU, Public Health and Community Mental Health. She is currently working for the Health Department.


Diane and her husband Ron have 3 grown children, 2 amazing daughters’ in- law and 3 granddaughters. They love the outdoors and all the beauty and activities this area has to offer.

Lucina Stachnik, Custodian

Lu was raised, baptized, and married at Glen Lake Community Reformed Church. She has been serving in the custodial position for over 25 years. Lu married her high school sweetheart, Clarence (who is a dairy farmer),  27 years ago and together they have two children, Becca and Molly, and one very cherished and special grandson, Owen. She can be found spending time with her family, down on the farm or cleaning the church.
