Welcome

We are glad you're here

We’re Always Excited to Welcome New Visitors

At Glen Lake Church, we're always excited to host new visitors and our goal is to make you feel welcome. Here's what you can expect when you come to our 10:00 a.m. service.

Glen Lake Church is located at 4902 W. MacFarlane Rd. in beautiful Glen Arbor.  Parking is located behind the church.

If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use our drive-around to drop your family closest to the door before parking in our lot. We do have greeters to assist you from your car.  Handicap parking is also available in our drive-around to ensure a close walk.

Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church,

for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. Dress as you feel comfortable.

When you walk in,

you will be met by our greeters, who are volunteers from the congregation. They're usually stationed at the doors and Welcome Center, and they'll show you where everything is. They'll help you find the nursery and Sunday school rooms if you have kids. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary, and fellowship area.

During the service, our faith is expressed in the songs we sing, the prayers we offer up, and our pastor's teaching. All elements of our worship are informed by and rooted in God's Word expressed in the Bible.

Be sure to hang around after the service and join us for coffee.

You'll have a chance to meet our pastor and many other people in the church. We'd also love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you come.

No matter what your Christian background is, or isn't, we hope you'll join us on Sunday. Here at Glen Lake Church, you'll find people of all generations, and we welcome everyone--including you. Our services start at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday.

Ministries

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works."

(Hebrews 10:24)

We are a community church and play a vital role in serving people, groups, and organizations in our area. Here are the current ministries of our church.

Worship

The word "Worship" comes from an Old English word meaning, "to ascribe worth to." It contains the idea that we worship whatever we value most highly. Although people worship many things, worship rightly belongs to God. No one and nothing else can lay claim to the position of highest value in anyone's life. In light of this, we at Glen Lake Church Worship point to the Triune God as the only One worthy of all of our worship, honor, and praise. In the songs we sing, in the prayer we offer, in the scripture we share, it all points to Him.

Please visit the Worship page (link below) for more information and to learn about volunteer opportunities. Email Diane Stier with any questions: stier.diane@gmail.com

Children's Ministry

Our Children's Ministry team welcomes all kids as we have fun learning about why Jesus is good news and what that means for our lives. Our volunteers take the safety and well-being of each child seriously, as well as the privilege of sharing God's word. Nursery is available for children ages birth through five, and Sunday School for children in kindergarten through fifth grade each Sunday. Please email Amy Smith at office@glenlakechurch.org with any questions, or call (231) 334-4563.

Youth Ministry

Glen Lake Church partners with Young Life.  Young Life is a mission devoted to introducing adolescents to Jesus and helping them grow in their faith.  Young Life goes to where the students are and builds authentic friendships!
Glen Lake Church hosts Young Life Events for both Middle School and High School. There is also Sunday School for Middle School students most Sundays during the Worship Service. Check out the link below for more information and the monthly schedule. Please email Ryan Schut with any questions: glenlakeyounglife@gmail.com

Community Groups

A Community Group (CG) is an intergenerational discipleship environment of adults and children (20-40 people) who are learning to live as an extended spiritual family by focusing on their UP relationship with God, IN relationships with one another, and OUT relationships with the greater community. A CG meets at least twice a month for a shared meal and a time of prayer, worship, scripture, and encouraging one another in learning to live like Jesus. A CG also identifies a specific neighborhood or network of relationships where they consistently serve and relationally demonstrate the Good News of Jesus. If you would like to get more information about being a part of a Community Group please contact us at office@glenlakechurch.org.
