OUR MISSION: What we are called to do

"To Know Christ and Make Christ Known"

OUR VALUES

Wholeness in Christ
“God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” (Eph. 1:22-23)

We orient all of our teaching, preaching, and ministries to proclaim and foster holistic health and vitality in Christ.

Overflowing Generosity
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”(Luke 6:38)

We are blessed to be a church with significant resources, and are committed to teaching biblical/generous giving to the church (time, talent, and treasure), and generous/wise stewardship from the church.

Intergenerational Church
One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” (Ps. 145:4)

An intergenerational church is one where there is a marked emphasis to not only draw people of different ages, but to learn from one another and grow stronger together. At this time, this is an aspirational value at Glen Lake Church.

Contributing to Community
Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7)

We are a community church, and play a vital role in serving people, groups, and organizations in our area.

Missions Investment
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts1:8)

Glen Lake Church is blessed to enjoy deep partnerships with a variety of ministries, missions, and missionaries – in our community and to the ends of the earth.

OUR STRATEGY

Our strategy is depicted as a cross, with love in the center. The cross illustrates how our mission to “Know Christ and make Christ known” is best realized. The vertical beam is essential for more fully knowing Christ, while the horizontal beam is essential for making Christ known.
